Connected Voice has a lot to offer as your digital home phone service. Let's get started by setting it up.
Use this setup and activation guide to get started with your new Connected Voice Basic service. Go here for Connected Voice Professional set-up instructions.
Check to see that you received this equipment:
Connected Voice will only work for phones that are directly connected to the Connected Voice adapter.
We recommend that you use cordless phones with your Connected Voice service. Connect the adapter to the cordless handset base station and distribute the remote handsets throughout your house.
Any phones connected to wall jacks will not work with your Connected Voice service.
The Connected Voice adapter will automatically self-configure after it's connected to your Brightspeed internet service. All you need to do is plug in the device and connect the cables.
Important Note: The configuration process can take up to 15 minutes. Do not unplug or restart the device while any of the lights are flashing. Doing so may corrupt the firmware and cause the unit to malfunction.
The configuration process is complete when the lights for "POWER", "INTERNET" and "PHONE1" on the front of the Connected Voice adapter are all solid green. After this, you can begin using your service.
You can find your Connected Voice phone number a couple of ways:
You'll receive a welcome email after you order your Connected Voice service. This email will include your username and a link to create your password. After you're signed in, you can view account details, call records, voicemail messages, and more.
Your Connected Voice service will not work in the event of a power outage unless you you have a battery backup unit. Learn more about battery backups.
